Event Manager - Large-Scale Convention

Location: Anaheim, CA
Pay: $24.00-$27.00 per hour (DOE)
Dates: September 8th, 2026 to September 13th, 2026 (Based on need)
Employment Type: Temporary / Special Event
Schedule: Day and Graveyard shifts available. Shift lengths may range from 8-12 hours, including weekends.

Position Overview

Treston Security Services is seeking experienced Event Managers to oversee security operations for a large-scale convention in Anaheim, California.

The Event Manager serves as the primary operational leader for assigned areas and is responsible for supervising supervisory staff, coordinating with the client and venue representatives, managing staffing assignments, and ensuring all security operations are executed safely, efficiently, and professionally.

This position is ideal for experienced security leaders who excel in fast-paced environments and are passionate about leading teams while delivering exceptional customer service.

Essential Job Duties
  • Oversee all security operations within assigned event areas.
  • Lead and support Event Security Supervisors and Security Officers throughout the event.
  • Coordinate staffing assignments, post coverage, and shift transitions.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between Treston Security Services, event management, and venue personnel.
  • Ensure all officers and supervisors comply with company policies, post orders, and client expectations.
  • Respond to significant incidents, emergencies, and operational concerns.
  • Make real-time staffing and operational decisions to ensure effective coverage.
  • Conduct supervisor briefings and maintain accountability of leadership staff.
  • Review incident reports and ensure documentation is accurate and complete.
  • Coordinate emergency response efforts when necessary.
  • Monitor event operations and proactively identify potential security concerns.
  • Maintain professional communication with clients, venue management, law enforcement, and executive leadership.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Valid California Guard Card (Required)
  • Previous experience managing security operations, large-scale events, or multiple security teams.
  • Prior leadership experience supervising supervisors or multiple field personnel.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience managing convention, entertainment venue, or special event security operations.
  • Previous experience as an Event Manager, Operations Manager, Site Manager, Account Manager, or Security Manager.
  • Experience coordinating with clients, venue management, and law enforcement.
  • Strong report writing and incident management experience.
  • Experience using two-way radios and digital reporting platforms.
Additional Requirements
  • Reliable transportation to and from the work location.
  • Smartphone capable of digital scheduling, check-in, and reporting.
  • Availability to work Day or Graveyard shifts.
  • Availability to work weekends and extended shifts as needed.
  • Professional appearance and excellent customer service skills.
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality are required.
Physical Requirements

  • Patrol large indoor event spaces.
