ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Residential Account Management Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in sales, customer relationship management, and the energy industry. Working alongside an experienced team, you will learn how to connect with customers by phone and email, identify their needs, and provide solutions that deliver value.
This 12-week internship runs from May 17, 2027 through August 6, 2027. Through sales training, mentorship, and real customer interactions, you will learn the sales process from start to finish while building internal and external relationships.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Use a consultative sales approach: Connect with customers by phone and help identify IGS products that meet their energy needs.

  • Build customer relationships: Deliver exceptional customer experiences and help ensure customer needs are met with the right products.

  • Support business initiatives: Based on your interests, contribute ideas through a designated project tied to a departmental business objective.

  • Learn the energy industry: Gain knowledge of energy products and pricing structures while shadowing experienced team members and practicing consultative selling.

  • Maintain customer records: Use CRM technology to document customer interactions and maintain accurate sales records.

  • Collaborate with the team: Forge lasting relationships with colleagues, including fellow interns, while working toward shared goals.

  • Drive continuous improvement: Use creativity to reevaluate tracking lists and recommend potential improvements.

Salary Range:
$31,200.00 - $62,400.00
*This range reflects base pay only. Incentive earnings, like commissions or bonuses, are not included.
This role is also eligible for an uncapped sales commission.
