Job description

About the Role

The June is seeking a polished, highly organized, and creatively driven Events Manager to lead the planning and execution of private dining, buyouts, and signature experiences. This role owns the full lifecycle of events at The June, from first inquiry to flawless on-site execution, while helping to build a calendar of original programming (wine dinners, chef's table experiences, seasonal celebrations, and collaborations) that reflects the clubs identity and elevates our guests' experience.

The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality, thrives in a fast-paced, high-touch environment, and brings both the administrative rigor to run a tight calendar and the creative instinct to produce events that feel effortless, beautifully executed, and true to The June's brand.

Key Responsibilities

Event Planning & Execution

  • Own all phases of event planning from concept through post-event evaluation.
  • Prepare event timelines, run-of-show documents, staffing plans, and operational briefs.
  • Coordinate closely with the Executive Chef, Culinary, Beverage, FOH Operations, and outside vendors to ensure flawless execution.
  • Serve as the on-site producer for private events and buyouts, ensuring every detail lands and every guest experience feels intentional.
  • Manage multiple events simultaneously while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.

Private Dining & Bookings

  • Manage all incoming private event and private dining inquiries, providing prompt, polished initial responses.
  • Oversee booking of the private dining room(s) and manage the event calendar end-to-end.
  • Conduct site tours, prepare proposals and floor plans, and coordinate all event logistics.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for hosts throughout the planning process, corporate gatherings, celebrations, and social events alike.

Curate Original Programming

  • Partner with the General Manager, Executive Chef and programming manager to develop a calendar of signature experiences, wine and spirits dinners, seasonal themed celebrations, and one-off collaborations.
  • Identify culinary and cultural trends, local talent, and creative collaborators that resonate with The June's guests and reinforce its identity.
  • Create concepts that feel elevated, relevant, and distinctly on-brand.

Vendor & Budget Management

  • Source, schedule, and manage relationships with vendors, entertainers, florists, and event partners.
  • Negotiate vendor agreements, review invoices and contracts, and manage event budgets to meet profitability targets.
  • Track attendance, spend, and event performance metrics to guide future planning.

Guest & Relationship Management

  • Build genuine relationships with hosts, regulars, and repeat guests to create highly personalized experiences.
  • Be present during events, anticipating needs and creating memorable touchpoints.
  • Gather guest feedback and identify opportunities to continually elevate the events program.

Marketing & Communications

  • Ensure all event materials, proposals and collateral reflect The June's brand standards and positioning.
  • Support event communications, guest lists, RSVP management, and promotional content in partnership with Marketing.
  • Track attendance and event performance to inform future programming decisions.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Event Management, Marketing, or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of event management experience in fine dining, luxury hospitality, private clubs, boutique hotels, or premium lifestyle brands.
  • Demonstrated success managing both large-scale buyouts and intimate private dining experiences.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
  • Ability to remain composed under pressure while managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the event and restaurant schedule.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience within fine dining, a private club, or a luxury hospitality environment.
  • Knowledge of French/coastal Mediterranean food and beverage service standards.
  • Proficiency with event management and CRM platforms (Tripleseat, peoplevine, sevenrooms preferred).
Key Competencies
  • Luxury hospitality mindset
  • Executive presence and professionalism
  • Attention to detail
  • Relationship management
  • Creative problem-solving
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Leadership and cross-team collaboration
  • Discretion and confidentiality
  • Time management and organization
What Success Looks Like
  • A full, well-managed events calendar that maximizes revenue while protecting the guest experience.
  • Strong, lasting relationships with hosts and repeat guests who see The June as their go-to for private dining and celebrations.
  • Seamless, on-brand execution, every event upholding The June's reputation for impeccable service and sophistication.

This position offers the opportunity to shape unforgettable experiences at one of Jacksonville's premier new dining destinations. We're looking for someone who shares our commitment to excellence, hospitality, and creating moments guests will remember long after each event concludes.
