Description
We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic event personnel in many different areas, join our dynamic team as an event helper, room supervisor, and as an event server. As an Event Personnel, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional guest services and ensuring a memorable event experience.
Essential Responsibilities
  • Set up event décor and clear event space at the completion of event to the specs of the event planner.
  • Work with the University Events Office Coordinator or room supervisor, to coordinate the event.
  • Help with the preparation of event details with the creation of event décor, such as balloon towers, centerpieces, etc.
  • Keep track of office supplies, stock and clean décor items.
  • Assist with bussing tables efficiently to maintain cleanliness in the dining area.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure the timely service of meals.
  • Maintain knowledge of event menu items, specials, and promotions to effectively communicate with guests.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the event department and catering department.
  • Welcome guests with a friendly demeanor.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience, addressing any concerns promptly.

Required and Preferred Qualifications
• Previous experience in event services or food service is preferred but not required.
• Strong guest services skills with a focus on hospitality.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple events efficiently.
• Ability to work as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods, bending and reaching areas for decoration needs, and carry items up to 20lbs.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
Time management: 1 year (Preferred)
