Alumni Coordinator

Valley Hope has an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to join our team in the key role of Alumni Coordinator. This position will support our Nebraska market with facilities in O'Neill, NE and Omaha, NE. This position will be based out our residential facility in O'Neill, NE or our IOP in Omaha, NE and will be expected to travel back and forth from both facilities at least 1 day per month.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Required:

  • One (1) year of work experience with an emphasis on office administration or event planning/project management experience.
  • CPR Certification
  • Valid and unrestricted driver’s license.

Preferred:

  • Associate’s degree with a preference for emphasis in Non-Profit Leadership or Business Studies.
  • Two (2) years’ work experience for a non-profit organization with a preference for emphasis on event planning/project management experience.

JOB SUMMARY:

  • Acts as continuum specific liaison and resource for alumni, fostering long-term relationship with the organization.
  • Plans, coordinates, and facilitates alumni and family support activities, including annual, monthly, and quarterly events, to foster ongoing connection, community, and engagement in recovery.
  • Maintains alumni database including family contacts.
  • Communicates with alumni regularly via phone, email, and text message.
  • Maintains and tracks important alumni sobriety data via documented wellness checks.
  • Collaborates with clinical staff to provide and maintain list of current, temporary sponsor options for discharging patients.
  • Meet with each patient group and patient prior to discharge, providing information and opportunity to join the Alumni Program.
  • Facilitate workshops to provide overview of alumni program and intro to community-based resources
  • Communicate and coordinate with local admission team for alumni readmissions
  • Assists with the coordination of Alumni Chapter meetings in various communities with large populations of alumni
  • Maintain data base of alumni volunteers who will to act as temporary sponsors, Chapter meeting ambassadors, panel discussion participants, event speakers etc.
  • Contributes content for CHESS eRecovery app and monitors local activity.
  • Creates and maintains list of alumni support services and resources
  • Hosts registration area and collects contact information from attendees at facility special events (i.e. Renewal Day and anniversary function).
  • Attends treatment team meetings weekly to collaborate and support aftercare.
  • Attend Peer Support/Recovery Coach Training
  • Collaborates with Valley Hope Foundation and facility leadership in the coordination of fundraising activities and alumni development.
  • Collaborates and Communicates with Marketing and Business Development Department to generate admissions.
  • Travels as needed to facility/event sites/locations.
  • Adheres to Valley Hope’s philosophies, policies, and procedures as well as any other regulating bodies.

  • Interacts and communicates with others (patients, co-workers, management, clients, and vendors) in a professional and tactful manner including treating them with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position.


WORK ENVIRONMENT:
