Job description

Are you dependable, hardworking, and do you take pride in keeping event spaces clean and welcoming? Join our event team as a Trash Monitor and help create an exceptional guest experience at festivals, corporate events, weddings, and community celebrations throughout the Kansas City area.

The Trash Monitor is responsible for maintaining clean, safe, and organized event grounds by monitoring trash receptacles, replacing liners, collecting waste, and assisting with general site cleanliness throughout the event.

Compensation:

$15 per hour


Responsibilities:
  • Monitor trash and recycling receptacles throughout the event.

  • Empty and replace trash liners before containers become full.

  • Keep event grounds clean and free of litter.

  • Patrol assigned areas and pick up loose trash.

  • Transport collected waste to designated disposal locations.

  • Assist with event setup and cleanup as needed.

  • Maintain a clean and professional appearance.

  • Provide friendly assistance and directions to guests when appropriate.

  • Follow all safety procedures and event guidelines.

  • Communicate supply needs or maintenance issues to the Event Supervisor.


Qualifications:
  • Driver’s license or reliable transportation to and from the worksite
  • Candidates must be hardworking, detail-oriented, and have a strong work ethic
  • Over 1 year of experience in cleaning services as a janitor or similar job
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent certification
  • Excellent stamina and physical health
