JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Summary

The Catering & Events Coordinator helps bring TACO NACO KC’s food and hospitality to guests outside our restaurants. This role manages catering orders from start to finish—answering questions, preparing details, coordinating with the kitchen, and making sure each event runs smoothly. You’ll be the friendly, organized point of contact who makes our guests feel taken care of and excited to work with us again.

Key Responsibilities

Catering & Event Coordination
  • Be the main point of contact for guests planning catering or events.
  • Help customers choose the right menu and services for their needs.
  • Organize event details such as timing, setup needs, delivery plans, and staffing.
  • Work with the kitchen and managers at each location to make sure everything is prepared accurately.
  • Keep clear records for each event—notes, order details, updates, and final confirmations.

Guest Communication & Support
  • Respond quickly and kindly to all catering inquiries by email, phone, or online forms.
  • Provide helpful recommendations that match the guest’s vision and budget.
  • Follow up after events to thank the client and gather feedback.
  • Build strong relationships with repeat customers, local businesses, and community partners.

Operations & Team Coordination
  • Prepare production sheets and event plans so the team knows exactly what to prep.
  • Help organize staff assignments for deliveries or on-site service when needed.
  • Keep catering supplies, packaging, and equipment stocked and ready to go.
  • Work with location managers to keep everything running smoothly and avoid scheduling conflicts.

Quality & Presentation
  • Make sure every catering order is packed neatly, labeled clearly, and reflects the TACO NACO KC brand.
  • Support updates to catering menus, service tools, and procedures.
  • Help maintain consistent quality whether an order is for 10 people or 200.

Admin & Light Paperwork
  • Track catering bookings, sales, and guest information.
  • Update menus, pricing sheets, and event materials when needed.
  • Help with invoices, deposits, receipts, and any required documents.
  • Ensure events follow basic food safety and communication standards.

What We Offer
  • Competitive pay (based on experience)
  • Flexible scheduling
  • A fun, supportive team environment
  • Opportunities to grow and take on more responsibility
  • Employee discounts on food and merch

REQUIREMENTS
  • 1–2 years of experience in events, catering, hospitality, or customer service (preferred, not required!)
  • Friendly, patient, and great at communicating with guests and team members
  • Strong organization and time-management skills
  • Comfortable juggling multiple tasks and staying calm during busy periods
  • Basic computer skills and willingness to learn new systems
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between locations
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) and a basic understanding of Latine hospitality is a big plus
