Job Summary/Basic Function
Conduct telephone communication in a professional manner.
Respond to room reservation inquiries.
Maintain an orderly and clean work environment.
Maintain inventory of necessary forms and supplies.
High accountability to lost and found.
Maintain Student Center bulletin boards with timely materials.
Maintain table tents and brochure holders through out Student Center.
Follow Opening/Lockup Procedures of Information Center area.
Notify Game Zone and Custodial/Event Staff of reservations and changes in a timely manner.
Maintain key log for all keys distributed from the key box on a daily basis.
Follow appropriate refund policies for vending machines.
Notify Custodial/Event staff of any reported building issues.
Provide various and complete informational inquiries.
Console Duties:
Answer main campus switchboard and direct call to various offices/departments on campus.
Help maintain current contact info for F/S i.e. Ext. #, Office location, title and or position.
Review University website for daily events and or closures.
Handle disgruntled callers with concern in a professional manner.
Remember all info given by callers is confidential.
This position requires a monthly training session.
Minimum Qualifications
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills.
Flexible hours for availability.
Occasional weekends or evenings.
The ability to work independently, identifying resources and making independent decisions.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Experience with Microsoft Word, Office, and Excel Software.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with events and conferences.
Demonstrated ability to solve problems independently and in consultation with colleagues.
High degree of customer service skills.
Proficient and demonstrated knowledge of emergency procedures.
