JOB SUMMARY:
The Marketing & Public Relations Intern provides support for the hospital's marketing, communications, and public relations activities. This paid internship offers hands-on experience in content creation, digital marketing, community engagement, and project coordination. Candidates must have strong communication skills, creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines.
JOB DUTIES:
  • Assist in developing and scheduling social media content for Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.
  • Support content creation by drafting posts, taking photos/videos, and creating graphics.
  • Help plan, promote, and execute hospital and community events.
  • Update and maintain marketing materials including brochures, flyers, newsletters, and digital signage.
  • Assist with media relations by drafting press releases and distributing information to local outlets.
  • Track and report on marketing and social media analytics to measure engagement and outreach.
  • Support employee recognition campaigns and internal communications.
  • Collaborate with hospital departments to highlight services, staff, and special initiatives.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive hospital and patient information at all times.
  • Respects and maintains confidentiality of customer and hospital information.

Requirements
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Currently enrolled in or pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Digital Media, or related field.

EXPERIENCE:
  • None, on the job training available.
  • Marketing experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of marketing trends, Canva, advertising agencies, social media.
