As an Activities Intern, you will be the driving force behind creating unforgettable experiences for individuals in our site-based program, ExploreAbility. With the guidance of our Recreation Specialist and Program Assistant Director, you will help plan and participate in all sorts of exciting activities, from games and crafts to outings and community adventures. Plus, you'll get a behind-the-scenes look at what it's like to work with people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) while making lasting memories along the way!
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in brainstorming and organizing a variety of engaging recreational activities and events.
Be the life of the party as you join in and lead activities that bring joy and laughter to the people we support.
Help individuals with I/DD develop new skills and independence through hands-on activities.
Explore the community together and build connections through inclusive outings and adventures.
