Job description

Amergis Staffing is seeking an experienced CT Technologist for an evening-shift, long-term assignment at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, CA. This role begins ASAP and is intended for candidates seeking stability, with potential duration of 26 weeks.

Position Overview

The CT Technologist will perform high-quality diagnostic imaging in a busy trauma-capable environment. This role requires strong technical skill, excellent communication, and the ability to work independently during evening hours with rotating weekend coverage. Experience with Canon/Toshiba and Siemens scanners is required.

Assignment Details

Modality: CT Technologist Setting: Hospital Imaging Department Facility: Harbor-UCLA Medical Center Openings: 2 Schedule: Evening Shift, 3:00pm–11:30pm Weekends: Rotating Hours: 40 hours per week Contract Length: Long-term (multi-year potential, 4–5 years) Start Date: ASAP Interview: Required Charting System: None

Compensation

Local CT Technologist Hourly Pay: $75 Estimated Weekly Pay Package: $3,000

Travel CT Technologist Hourly Pay: $35 Weekly Meals: $602 Weekly Housing: $1,337 Estimated Weekly Pay Package: $3,619

The CAT/CT Scan Technologist produces computerized tomographic scanner radiographs of specific areas as ordered by a physician.  These cross-sectional images provide detailed information about soft tissues, blood vessels, and bones, which are essential for accurate diagnostics.  The CAT/CT Scan Technologist obtains patient history, explains standard procedures, and addresses patient concerns. The CAT/CT Technologist also performs a variety of specialized tasks involved in the performance of CT scans.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • One (1) year of experience as a CAT/CT Technologist preferred.
  • Appropriate valid state licensure in diagnostic imaging
  • A.R.R.T. (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) Certification, if required by state regulations or contract specifications
  • Current CPR if applicable
  • TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable 
  • Must meet all federal, state and local requirements 
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
