DAS Service Technician - SoCal
Company Overview
Communication Technology Services (CTS) is one of the largest integrators and managed service providers for enterprise cellular networks in the United States. CTS specializes in the design, installation, and support of Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS), Small Cell, and 4G/5G Private Wireless Networks for enterprise environments.
Position Overview
CTS is seeking a DAS Service Technician based in the Corona ,CA region to support service, maintenance, and repair of in-building wireless systems. This role is a hands-on field technician position responsible for troubleshooting and repairing DAS infrastructure, including cabling, connectors, and RF components.
The technician will support on-call service operations and regional travel, responding to system alarms, service tickets, and maintenance requests across customer sites.
This role requires someone who understands how DAS systems are built and operate, and who can diagnose and repair issues in the field.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform service, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) and related wireless infrastructure
  • Diagnose and repair RF cabling, connectors, antennas, and passive components
  • Test coax and fiber infrastructure using Anritsu sweep testers, spectrum analyzers, and OTDR equipment
  • Perform cable sweeps, PIM testing support, and signal verification
  • Troubleshoot signal degradation, interference, or connectivity issues within DAS systems
  • Replace and repair connectors, jumpers, splitters, couplers, and other RF components
  • Respond to on-call service tickets and outage events
  • Document testing results, repairs, and service activities
  • Coordinate with CTS engineering, operations, and customer teams to resolve system issues
  • Travel regionally to support service work across customer sites

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of DAS system architecture and construction
  • Experience with RF coaxial cable installation, termination, and repair
  • Hands-on experience with RF test equipment, including:
    • Anritsu Coax Sweep Testers
    • Spectrum Analyzers
    • OTDR for fiber troubleshooting
  • Ability to troubleshoot RF signal issues and cable faults
  • Experience repairing RF connectors and coaxial infrastructure
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently in field environments
  • Good communication and documentation skills
  • Valid driver's license

Preferred Experience
  • Experience with DAS OEM platforms such as:
    • Commscope
    • Corning
    • JMA
    • ADRF
    • Comba
  • Experience supporting MMRD or DAS managed service contracts
  • Knowledge of fiber optic troubleshooting
  • Previous experience supporting large venue or enterprise DAS environments
