Description

The Museum Exhibits Technician will be responsible for ongoing exhibits and facility maintenance. They will assist the Museum team with the fabrication and installation of new exhibits and facility components as directed.


Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance on exhibition spaces and display cases.
  • Use hand and power tools, carpentry equipment, and lifting equipment safely and effectively.
  • Knowledgeable in the use of painting touch ups and adhesives, basic carpentry and wood-working techniques, hand tools, power tools, mechanical assembly, and associated safety practices.

Requirements

Some projects will require early morning/evening and weekend work while the Museum is closed, so schedule flexibility is a must. The best candidate for this position will have strong organizational and time management skills and be able to work independently with minimal supervision. The Exhibits Technician must have the physical ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50lbs) with or without assistance, climb ladders, and work in confined or elevated spaces. This position will work at both the Museum and our off-site facility, so you must be over 21 years of age and hold a valid driver's license to drive our company vehicles.
