Job description

Driver

The Driver is responsible for providing safe and timely transportation of Westhab residents and other company business that may be required for families with children homeless shelter.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Drive Westhab residents and staff as directed for the following reasons: emergency transport to hospital, scheduled clinic appointments, scheduled food pantry runs, transportation to other Westhab sites, functions or meetings, moving clients, pick up and delivery of supplies, inter office mail, and provides transportation for other Westhab related business
  • Checks vehicle(s) on a daily basis for gas and fluid levels, and fills same as needed. Completes daily vehicle check log.
  • Reports any vehicle accidents or damage to the Facility Manager.
  • Cleans all vehicle(s) interiors and exteriors as needed.
  • Assures vehicle inspection and registration stickers are current, and notifies the Facility Manager one month before expiration date.
  • Drives vehicle(s) to service and inspection appointments.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience and Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent, English and Math skills required. Two years of related experience. Clean driver's license. Able to pass the CLDC Commercial License test within two months of hire. Some weekend and/or evening hours may be required.
