Work Environment

This position is designed to be remote, offering flexibility while still providing vital support to students. Our work setting focuses on a school facility that embraces a collaborative and supportive culture among educators, healthcare providers, and families. Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, you will have the opportunity to engage with students, parents, and staff, with occasional evening shifts and rotating weekends required to ensure comprehensive coverage. Additionally, some on-call duties may arise to promptly address urgent mental health situations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify students' needs, including their personal history and presenting concerns.
  • Collaborate with students to develop personalized treatment plans addressing their mental health challenges, emotional well-being, and integration into the school community.
  • Utilize evidence-based psychotherapy techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care.
  • Lead individual and group therapy sessions, promoting personal growth, emotional regulation, and effective coping strategies.
  • Work closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health specialists to coordinate a comprehensive treatment approach.
  • Provide immediate crisis intervention and support, using de-escalation techniques and making appropriate referrals when necessary.
  • Empower students and their families through psychoeducation about mental health conditions and available community resources.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of all assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, adhering to all legal and ethical standards.
  • Participate in team meetings to promote shared learning and collaboration among school staff.
  • Stay informed of current laws, regulations, and ethical standards related to mental health services in educational settings.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will primarily focus on supporting a diverse range of students who may be facing mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral issues. Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid LCSW licensure in the state of Colorado.
  • At least two years of post-licensure experience, particularly within a mental health or educational context.

  • Demonstrated ability in conducting assessments and formulating effective treatment plans.

Compensation and Benefits
