This position is entirely remote, leveraging the latest telehealth technology to ensure effective communication and counseling services for our clients. You will be supported by a collaborative and multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and addiction medicine specialists, which allows for integrated care that meets the holistic needs of our patients. Our working hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts based on patient needs.

• Conduct thorough assessments of individual patients to identify their specific needs and treatment goals related to substance use disorders.
• Collaborate with patients to create personalized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
• Facilitate individual counseling sessions employing strategies such as motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy to foster engagement and recovery.
• Lead group therapy sessions that provide peer support, enhance personal growth, and encourage accountability among participants in recovery.
• Coordinate care by working closely with psychiatrists, addiction medicine specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a seamless treatment experience.
• Respond to crisis situations involving substance-related emergencies, providing immediate support and intervention.
• Educate patients and family members on addiction, available recovery strategies, and local resources to foster a supportive recovery environment.
• Ensure accurate and confidential documentation of patient interactions in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Actively participate in team meetings, case conferences, and continuing professional development activities to enhance your expertise.
• Stay informed on the latest research and best practices in substance use disorder treatment through ongoing education and training.

The primary focus of your work will be individuals seeking treatment for substance use disorders. This population often experiences complex emotional and psychological challenges, including anxiety, depression, and trauma. By utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques tailored to each client’s unique circumstances, you will help them develop coping strategies essential for sustained recovery.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in California, ensuring compliance with state regulations.
• Demonstrated knowledge of substance use disorders and an understanding of recovery-oriented care principles.
• Experience in delivering both individual and group therapy within the context of addiction treatment.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, exhibiting a non-judgmental, empathetic approach to client interaction.
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries and adhere to ethical guidelines while ensuring patient confidentiality.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant software applications.
• Proficiency in collaborating effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

• Prior experience working in remote telehealth environments, demonstrating adaptability to virtual counseling practices.
• Advanced training or certifications in specialized therapeutic techniques related to substance use disorders are advantageous.
• Experience in crisis intervention and emergency response scenarios within a mental health context.
