Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our outpatient treatment center, focusing on providing mental health support for teenagers and young adults aged 18 to 30. Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Professional Counselor at our clinic, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Facilitating Group Therapy: Conduct engaging group therapy sessions where clients can share their experiences, learn coping strategies from one another, and cultivate a supportive community.
  • Providing Individual Therapy: Deliver empathetic, client-centered counseling designed to help individuals navigate their thoughts and emotions, ultimately assisting them in developing actionable coping strategies.
  • Developing Treatment Plans: Collaborate with clients to design personalized, goal-oriented treatment plans that address their unique challenges and aspirations.
  • Monitoring Progress: Utilize various assessment tools to track and evaluate client outcomes, ensuring continuous improvement in care and adapting treatment plans as necessary.
  • Collaborating with a Multidisciplinary Team: Work closely with other health professionals to coordinate care, exchange insights on complex cases, and ensure that all clients receive the highest quality of treatment.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This position centers on supporting teen and young adult clients who face a variety of mental health challenges, including depression, anxiety, trauma, and relationship issues. As an LPC within our community, you will play a critical role in guiding these individuals towards recovery and personal growth, instilling hope and resilience in their journeys.

Qualifications

To qualify for this role, candidates must possess the following:

  • A valid and active Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) credential.
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field. (A Master's Degree is preferred but not required).
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse client populations, showing respect and understanding for their unique backgrounds and challenges.
  • Strong communication skills to build rapport with clients and collaborate with team members.
Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, the following qualifications will enhance your application:

  • Experience working with adolescent and young adult populations in a therapeutic or community health setting.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
  • Prior experience with treatment planning and outcome measurement tools.
Compensation and Benefits
