Who we need

Reporting to Consultant+ within the Valuation & Advisory team, we are hiring an Analyst to join our growing practice in New York City. As our new Analyst, you will gain exposure to institutional-grade commercial real estate portfolios while supporting valuation consulting, appraisal review, appraisal management, financial due diligence, and investment managed services initiatives. You will collect, analyze, and organize commercial real estate data to support valuation consulting services and key client assignments. Working closely with senior team members, you will contribute research, financial analysis, market insights, and consulting support across a broad range of commercial real estate asset types.

This is a hybrid role requiring two days per week onsite at our New York office.

As our new Real Estate Valuation Analyst, Advisory, you will:

  • Support valuation and advisory assignments. You will contribute to valuation consulting, appraisal review, appraisal management, financial due diligence, and investment managed services assignments tied to institutional-grade commercial real estate portfolios across a variety of asset classes.
  • Conduct research and analyze market data. You will gather, organize, and analyze commercial real estate information, including market rental rates, comparable transactions, and property-level data sourced from internal databases, third-party platforms, and market research tools.
  • Assist with financial analysis and cash flow modelling. You will support the preparation of financial models and cash flow projections using Excel, Argus Enterprise, and other industry-standard tools as part of appraisal, valuation, and advisory engagements.
  • Collaborate with experienced team members. Working closely with Analysts, Consultants, Directors, clients, and third-party appraisers, you will contribute research, analysis, and administrative support across active assignments while building your technical and industry knowledge.
  • Support institutional real estate projects. You will assist with assignments related to acquisitions, lending, asset management, and portfolio valuation initiatives while gaining exposure to a wide range of commercial real estate asset types and investment strategies.
  • Maintain accurate reporting and data management. You will ensure valuation data, assignment details, market insights, and supporting documentation are entered accurately into internal systems and databases in a timely manner.
  • Manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. You will balance multiple assignments, timelines, and requests while demonstrating attention to detail, organization, responsiveness, and a willingness to learn.
  • Continue building your industry expertise. You will strengthen your understanding of commercial real estate valuation, market trends, and advisory services through hands-on experience, mentorship, and ongoing professional development.

You bring:

  • The education. You have completed a university or college degree in Commerce, Real Estate, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline, along with exposure to commercial real estate through coursework, internships, or early professional experience.
  • The analytical and quantitative mindset. You are comfortable working with numbers, financial analysis, and data interpretation. You enjoy problem-solving, can think critically, and have the ability to work through calculations, financial concepts, and analytical challenges with accuracy and attention to detail.
