Job description

NOW HIRING: Regional MDS Nurse (RN) to support our skilled nursing facilities with expertise, leadership, and a deep commitment to quality resident care.

As a key member of our regional clinical team, you’ll provide hands-on support to facility MDS coordinators, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and optimal reimbursement through precise assessment and documentation practices.

Responsibilities of the Regional MDS
  • Oversee and audit MDS processes across assigned facilities

  • Ensure compliance with federal/state regulations and company policy

  • Train, mentor, and support facility MDS coordinators and interdisciplinary teams

  • Review and validate assessments for accuracy and timeliness

  • Collaborate with DONs, Administrators, and Regional Leadership

  • Identify opportunities to improve workflow, quality measures, and financial performance

Qualifications for the Regional MDS:
  • Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in [state(s)]

  • Minimum 2 years of MDS coordination experience in skilled nursing required

  • RAC-CT certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)

  • Strong knowledge of RAI process, PDPM, and reimbursement guidelines

  • Ability to travel regionally between facilities

  • Excellent communication, training, and leadership skills
