This is a strong locum opportunity for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join a Cardiac Surgery ICU team in Syracuse, New York. You'll manage critically ill patients in an inpatient ICU and step-down setting-without any OR responsibilities-working alongside experienced physicians and critical care teams.

Dates: June 1 - October 2
Inpatient ICU + Step-down
EMR: Epic
Non-operative role (no OR required)
Schedule
• Monday - Friday (Day/Evening shifts)
• 40-50 hours per week
• Autonomous role with physician & critical care support
What You'll Be Working With
• Adult patient population
• Up to 10 notes/day + inpatient phone coverage
• Collaborative ICU environment
• Supervision available with onsite physicians
Procedures
• Central line placement
• Arterial line placement
• Chest tube placement & removal
• Wound VAC changes
Ideal Background
• ICU / Critical Care experience required
• Cardiac critical care preferred
• Strong inpatient medicine + cardiology exposure is a plus
Candidate Requirements
NCCPA (for PA) / AANP or ANCC (for NP)
Active New York License
ACLS Certified
ICU experience (no new grads)
EPIC experience
15K conversion fee acknowledgment
