Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and caring Registered Nurse (RN) Evening Supervisor to join our team at Sippican Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. As an Evening Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal quality of care for our residents on a daily basis. You will supervise and guide staff on your unit, providing support and guidance as needed. You will also be responsible for documenting resident care, ordering medications, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Department Head to train staff on department policies and procedures
Lead RN Supervisor for department staff on process, supply, and team-related needs
Review written daily assignments for each resident on the assigned unit
Give and take nursing reports on assigned units
Collaborate with the Care Plan Coordinator to develop and maintain nursing care plans
Assist with orientation and on-the-job training for new nursing personnel
Participate in disciplinary processes and document disciplinary concerns for nursing assistants
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to move intermittently throughout the day, proper body mechanics required
Ability to perform physically demanding work involving frequent bending, stooping, turning, stretching, and reaching above the shoulders
Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics/equipment that will enable these senses to function adequately
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
Essential Functions:

Collaborates with the Care Plan Coordinator to develop and maintain nursing care plans
Assists the attending physician with rounds and special procedures as needed
Participates in the yearly written evaluations of nursing assistants and documents accurately their strengths, weaknesses, and the steps that need to be taken to improve their performance
Assists Staff Development with orientation and on-the-job training for new nursing personnel as needed
