The CPR/ACLS/PALS Instructor position is a pivotal role within our Health Street department, based in Houston, TX. This role is designed for a highly skilled and certified professional who is passionate about delivering top-tier training in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). The instructor will play a critical role in equipping advanced healthcare professionals with the knowledge and practical skills necessary to respond effectively in life-threatening emergencies. The position offers a dynamic and collaborative environment, requiring travel to various healthcare facilities and off-site locations within the Houston area.

This role is integral to the healthcare training ecosystem, ensuring that participants leave each session with the confidence and capability to save lives in critical situations.
  • Conduct AHA ACLS and PALS courses for healthcare professionals, ensuring strict adherence to AHA guidelines and protocols.
  • Deliver clear, accurate, and engaging instruction with an emphasis on practical skills and real-life emergency scenarios.
  • Evaluate participants' skills and provide constructive feedback to ensure they meet competency standards.
  • Prepare, maintain, and manage training materials, manikins, and other instructional equipment.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of class attendance, certification details, and participant progress.
  • Stay updated with the latest AHA guidelines, protocols, and training methodologies to ensure instructional excellence.
  • Travel to various healthcare facilities and off-site locations within the Houston, TX area to deliver training sessions as required.
  • Assist in the scheduling, planning, and promotion of ACLS/PALS courses to maximize participation and impact.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in working hours, including availability for evening and weekend sessions as necessary.
  • Uphold the highest standards of instruction and compliance with AHA guidelines to maintain the integrity of the training programs.

  • Current ACLS/PALS Provider certification is mandatory.
  • Strong clinical background with substantial experience in an advanced healthcare setting, such as nursing, paramedic services, or respiratory therapy.
  • Current certification as an AHA ACLS and PALS Instructor is preferred; however, certification support will be provided if not already certified.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred but not required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, and Word, as well as data entry capabilities.
