Part-Time
BLS/CPR $21 per hour
BLS + ACLS $23.50 per hour
BLS + ACLS + PALS $26.00 per hour
Spanish $0.50 per hour extra
We are seeking an experienced and certified AHA ACLS/PALS Instructor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) training courses according to AHA guidelines. Your expertise will ensure that advanced healthcare professionals are prepared to respond effectively in life-threatening emergencies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Conduct AHA ACLS and PALS courses for healthcare professionals, ensuring adherence to AHA guidelines and protocols.
  • Provide clear, accurate, and engaging instruction, with a focus on practical skills and real-life scenarios.
  • Evaluate participants' skills and provide constructive feedback to ensure competency.
  • Prepare and maintain training materials, manikins, and other equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of class attendance and certification details.
  • Stay current with AHA updates, guidelines, and training techniques.
  • Travel to various healthcare facilities and off-site locations in the Houston, TX area as required.
  • Assist in the scheduling, planning, and promotion of ACLS/PALS courses.
  • Flexibility to work various hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed. Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of instruction and adherence to AHA guidelines.

Education
  • Current ACLS/PALS Provider certification
  • Strong clinically certified background, with significant experience in an advanced healthcare setting (e.g., nursing, paramedic, respiratory therapy).
  • Current certification as an AHA ACLS and PALS Instructor (preferred, but not required) - we will certify you if you are not currently an instructor. Bilingual in English & Spanish (preferred, but not required)
  • Computer Skills
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, Outlook, and Word) and data entry.
