Job description

Position: Knuckle Boom Operator
Work Location: Statesville, NC 28625
Pay Rate: $16.50/hr
Duration: 3+ Months role with high chances of extension/conversion
Shift: 6:00 pm - 6:00 am
PPE: Safety glasses, hearing protection, and closed-toe shoes.
 
Job Description:
  • Operate boom machinery and shredding equipment efficiently without causing jams.
  • Feed correct foam materials into designated hoppers and shredders.
  • Monitor hopper levels and prevent interruptions in production flow.
  • Inspect scrap materials for foreign objects, debris, or contamination.
  • Maintain accurate bale ticket and lot number records on Scrap Grinding forms.
  • Ensure all bale tickets are collected and submitted to the Supervisor at the end of shift.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancements.
  • Operate industrial machinery and material handling equipment.
  • Identify and report product, process, or system non-conformities.
  • Recommend and support corrective actions and process solutions.
  • Stop production processes if non-conforming products or unsafe conditions are identified.
  • Assist with Mold and Blend Clean operations when required.
  • Perform additional duties assigned by the Supervisor.
  • Keep work area clean and organized by sweeping and removing scrap materials.
  • Dispose of waste materials in designated containers.
  • Support overall plant cleanliness and housekeeping standards
Qualifications:
  • Boom and Forklift Certification required.
