Job Description
Highland Hospital's Department of Medicine team is growing! To accommodate higher volumes, Highland Hospital is beefing up their Internal Medicine / Hospitalist team. We are currently seeking Full Time Physician Assistants or Nurse Practitioners. Ideally looking for those interested in working a Thursday, Friday, Saturday shifts (Thu/Fri, 8a - 8p & Sat, 7a - 7p). New graduates and experienced APP's welcome to apply.
Some duties include but are not limited to:
To admit and execute orders on adult patients requiring in-house medical coverage, after resident teams have filled, from the services of Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, subspecialties, Hospitalists, Geriatricians.
Obtains detailed sign-out from the APP teams, to assist in evening cross-coverage and any medical issues the APP teams need to follow up.
To convey pertinent patient medical problems to the covering attending so a medical treatment plan can be formed.
Admit patients to the inpatient medicine service from the Emergency Room, ICU, or direct admission pathways. Obtains a detailed medical history and performs a complete physical examination. Provides for further data collection. Completes all medical record documentation, including assessment/plan.
Salary Range:
$98,000.00 - $130,083.20 annually
The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
Job Requirements
Education: Fulfilled the requirements to be a licensed PA or NP in NYS.
Experience: Medical management of house-covered patients or Emergency Room/ICU training.
License/Certification Required: NYS License PA candidates. Current, valid license to practice as an NP in NYS for NP candidates. Must be BLS certified, ACLS preferred.
Skills: Willing to work in an environment that is consistent with 's philosophy of Continuous Quality Improvement and Highland/PRIDE statement. Maintains adequate CME credits to ensure ongoing competency for performing job duties. Maintains current NYS license and NCCPA Certification.
