Spot Welder / Machine Operator - 3rd Shift
Pay: $20.00/hour
Shift Premium: +$2.00/hour (Total potential pay: $22.00/hour)
Schedule: Sunday night - Friday morning | 9:00 PM - 5:00 AM
Breaks:
  • One paid 20-minute lunch
  • Two paid 10-minute breaks
Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable Spot Welder/Machine Operator to join our 3rd shift manufacturing team. This position is responsible for setting up and operating resistance welding and PEM stud equipment while ensuring quality standards and production goals are met. The ideal candidate has previous machine operation experience, can read blueprints, and is committed to maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Experience is preferred, but candidates with strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
Essential Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate resistance welding equipment
  • Set up and operate PEM stud insertion equipment
  • Monitor weld quality and identify when weld tip conditioning is required
  • Perform weld tip conditioning as needed
  • Set up and operate metal finishing machinery
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and production documents
  • Inspect finished parts to ensure quality standards are met
  • Maintain production efficiency while following established procedures
  • Keep work area clean, organized, and compliant with 5S standards
  • Follow all safety and quality procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Previous machine operator experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to follow written work instructions and standard operating procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Dependable attendance and a positive team attitude
  • Willingness to learn new equipment and processes

Physical Requirements
This position requires the ability to:
  • Stand for the majority of the shift with intermittent walking
  • Frequently lift materials weighing 5-10 pounds
  • Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
  • Frequently reach, grip, and handle parts throughout the shift
  • Bend, push, pull, and carry materials as needed
  • Move carts and materials using manual equipment
  • Perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Work Environment
  • Manufacturing facility with production equipment and machinery
  • Requires following all safety procedures and wearing appropriate PPE
  • Closed-toe shoes are required
  • Appropriate work attire, including shirts, jeans, or work shorts, is permitted per company policy
