Job description

Performers must apply AND audition in order to be considered for a position.

Must be at least 18 years of age.

We are holding both In-Person and Online Auditions for the 2026 Christmas Season. Please see below for the information to participate in either option.

Online Audition Information:

  • Video Submissions are required for the Audition and should be sent to sdcauditions@silverdollarcity.com.
  • Submissions should include two songs in the style(s) you do best. A verse and chorus of each song is sufficient, and a dancing and/or acting reel if available.
  • Submissions and application are both due by June 29th, 2026.

In-Person Audition Information:

Performer, Musician, and Parade

  • When: 6/28-29/2026 from 9:00am - 1:00pm; registration begins at 8:30am.
  • Where: Chateau on the Lake Resort & Convention Center, 415 N State Hwy 265, Branson, MO, 65616.
  • What to Bring: A two-minute audition featuring two different songs of contrasting styles and appropriate dance wear. An accompanist, CD player, and aux for MP3 players/phones will be provided.
  • Eligibility: Must be at least 18 years of age, be able to sing and act, and have completed an application to audition.

Dancer Only Auditions

  • When: 6/28-29/2026 starting at 1:00pm; registration begins at 12:30pm.
  • Where: Chateau on the Lake Resort & Convention Center, 415 N State Hwy 265, Branson, MO, 65616.
  • What to Bring: A two-minute audition featuring two different songs of contrasting styles and appropriate dance wear. An accompanist, CD player, and aux for MP3 players/phones will be provided.
  • Eligibility: Must be at least 18 years of age, be able to sing and act, and have completed an application to audition.

Summary: Audition to be a part of An Old Time Christmas! Silver Dollar City is casting male and female singers/dancers/musicians with commitment dates of October 12th - January 2nd. You could portray a role in a dramatic, comedic, romantic, or musical production. We are looking for entertaining candidates who are able to learn songs, choreography, and lines from a script for their specified role.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Other duties may be assigned)

  • Rehearses parts to learn songs, dance routines, lines, and cues as directed.
  • Applies make-up and wears a costume to change or enhance appearance and portrayal of character or role.
  • Speaks lines from the script.
  • Sings and dances as the role requires.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Expressive abilities, poise, stage presence, and a feel for music are required.
  • Singers with a strong belt in various styles including, but not limited to, pop, musical theatre, country, etc.
  • Dancers with a strong background in Jazz, Tap, and Musical Theatre style.
  • Strong improvisation skills.
  • Musicians (keys, guitar and drums) with the ability to perform various styles including, but not limited to, country, pop, rock & roll, musical theatre, etc.
  • Able to communicate efficiently.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • The ability to lift and/or move 10 pounds frequently to 50 pounds maximum.
  • The ability to stand and walk on uneven terrain, inclines, asphalt, and concrete continuously.
  • The ability to perform choreographed actions related to performing frequently.
  • The ability to remember locations and understand and carry out instructions frequently.
  • The ability to work in extreme weather occasionally.

Work Environment:

This role takes place in a live entertainment environment that includes both indoor and outdoor settings. Performers are regularly exposed to varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, wind, rain, and humidity, depending on the performance location. The environment includes exposure to loud music, amplified sound, bright or flashing lights, and large crowds. Performers may be required to wear heavy or restrictive costumes that limit vision, mobility, and ventilation. The role is physically demanding, often requiring repetitive movements, high energy output, and maintaining character for extended periods. The work pace is fast and dynamic, requiring adaptability, teamwork, and the ability to respond quickly to direction and live changes during performances. Evening, weekend, and holiday work is regularly required.
