Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Technologist to join our LC-MS laboratory team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in LC-MS instrumentation, detecting and quantifying substances in patient samples, data analysis, and method development, with a strong commitment to delivering accurate and timely results.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform LC-MS analyses on patient samples to detect and quantify drugs, metabolites, hormones, and other biomolecules as required
  • Operate and maintain LC-MS instrumentation and associated equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and regulatory guidelines
  • Interpret LC-MS data, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure quality control measures are followed to maintain accurate and reliable results
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and other laboratory staff to interpret test results and provide accurate clinical information
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation of all procedures, results, and quality control measures
  • Participate in quality assurance activities, proficiency testing, and compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Train and supervise laboratory assistants and other staff in LC-MS techniques and procedures as needed
  • Stay updated with advances in LC-MS technology, methodologies, and clinical applications through continuous learning and professional development
  • Additional tasks may be assigned at any time by the supervisor

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, Chemistry, or a related field
  • Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) by a recognized certifying agency
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting with specific expertise in LC-MS instrumentation and analysis
  • Proficiency in method development, validation, and troubleshooting in LC-MS
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with healthcare providers, patients, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and procedures
  • Comfortability working in a fast-paced clinical laboratory setting with exposure to biohazardous materials and chemicals
  • Flexibility to work occasional evening or weekend shifts based on operational needs

Compensation:

  • $35 - $45 per hour
  • $10,000 sign on bonus

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Saturdays as needed
