Job description

Job Title: Adjunct Teaching - Department of Art - 2D Studio and Printmaking
Posting End Date: July 6, 2026

Position Start Date: August 1, 2026
Required Degree:
Minimum BA/BFA degree required; Terminal degree (MFA or equivalent) preferred. The required degree must be completed by the start date.
Experience:
Minimum one year of university-level teaching in Art, or equivalent related experience.
Duties/Expectations:
  • Teach a range of courses for the Department of Art:
    • ART 101 - Introduction to Art and Drawing for Nonmajors
    • ART 102 - Introduction to Art : 2D
    • ART 122 - Printmaking for Nonmajors
    • ART 225 - Printmaking Fundamentals
    • ART 321 - Drawing
  • Courses assigned may be taught day or evening.
  • Adjunct faculty will use department-approved syllabi and materials for the courses, and will mentor the students in their class(es).
  • In addition to teaching the courses assigned, adjunct faculty are expected to attend department training meetings during the month of August. An additional curriculum prep and training contract will be created for the selected hire in the month prior to the first semester taught.
