What is an Evcot?

Evcots are not a recognized job title or standard role in any major industry. It is possible that 'Evcot' is a typographical error, an acronym, or a term specific to a particular company or context. If you are seeking information about a specific position, please double-check the spelling or provide more details. For widely recognized roles, such as 'Evoc' (Emergency Vehicle Operator Course Trainer) or 'Evco' (potentially short for Electric Vehicle Coordinator), additional details would help in providing accurate information.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an Evcot, and why are they important?

I'm sorry, but 'Evcot' does not appear to be a recognized real-world professional occupation, so I cannot provide a relevant answer.

What is the difference between Evcot vs Electric Vehicle Charging Station Installer?

AspectEvcotElectric Vehicle Charging Station Installer
Required CredentialsTechnical certifications, electrical knowledgeElectrical licenses, certifications
Work EnvironmentConstruction sites, outdoor locationsInstallation sites, commercial or residential
Industry UsageManufacturers, service providersElectrical contracting, renewable energy

While both roles involve electrical work related to electric vehicles, Evcot typically refers to a specific product or system, whereas Electric Vehicle Charging Station Installer focuses on installing charging stations. The installer role requires electrical certifications and hands-on installation skills, often working in outdoor or construction environments. Understanding these differences helps clarify career paths and job expectations in the EV infrastructure industry.

Job description

The Emergency Veterinary Clinic of Tualatin (EVCOT) is seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join our team.

For more than 30 years, EVCOT has been a trusted emergency hospital serving patients from the Portland metro area to the Oregon Coast. We are privately owned by a currently practicing emergency veterinarian and are known for stable leadership, low staff turnover, strong staff loyalty, and a collaborative team culture.

We are proud to provide high-quality emergency care while remaining one of the most affordable ER hospitals in the area. This is an excellent opportunity for a veterinarian seeking strong compensation, meaningful surgical experience, schedule flexibility, and long-term practice stability outside of corporate medicine.

This role is especially well suited to veterinarians who value teamwork, high-quality medicine, surgical growth, and long-term practice stability.

Why Join EVCOT?
  • Salary-based compensation with no production pay
  • Flexible scheduling with strong work-life balance
  • Supportive, family-centered culture
  • Highly collaborative doctor team
  • Significant emergency surgical experience
  • Leadership and growth opportunities
  • Mentorship available for the right candidate
Benefits include:
  • 100% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees
  • 90% medical coverage for dependents
  • 401(k) match
  • continuing education support
  • uniform allowance
  • discounted pet care
  • paid time off that increases with tenure
  • overnight, surgical, holiday, and extra-shift bonuses
Schedule

Full-time veterinarians work 12 shifts per month in months with 30 days or fewer and 13 shifts per month in months with 31 days.

Doctors average 3 shifts per week and are not scheduled more than 3 consecutive days in a row unless requested. Full-time staff veterinarians average 4 to 8 overnight shifts per month.

Additional shifts beyond the regular schedule are paid as bonuses. Part-time positions and set schedules may also be accommodated when compatible with current scheduling needs.

Typical Shifts

Monday through Friday
10:00 a.m.–10:00 p.m.
5:00 p.m.–3:00 a.m.
7:00 p.m.–8:00 a.m.

Saturday, Sunday, and observed holidays

Hospital and Team

Our veterinarians are supported by a full on-site laboratory, fully equipped surgical suite, endoscopy, digital radiology, ultrasound, and highly trained support staff. Our team includes 10 full-time veterinarians, 6 part-time veterinarians, certified veterinary technicians, veterinary assistants, and kennel staff. We also partner with Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging and Cytology (VDIC), with a radiology team on site and diagnostic ultrasounds available 6 days a week.

Mentorship and Clinical Opportunities

EVCOT offers a highly collaborative environment. With the exception of overnights, there is always another experienced doctor on staff for consultation and support. Overnight doctors also have access to phone consultation with the owner, who can often come in if needed. Surgical and endoscopy mentorship are available, and onboarding is tailored to the doctor’s experience level.

Common emergency procedures
  • pyometra surgery
  • foreign body surgery
  • splenectomy
  • emergency cesarean section
  • cystotomy

EVCOT pays for Oregon licensure, membership dues to AVMA or VECCS, and membership dues to OVMA or PVMA. We also pay for one major conference every other year, including registration, travel, and hotel accommodations. Additional CE support may be available upon request. Sign-on bonuses, relocation assistance, and ongoing tuition support are negotiable.

Qualifications

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree required. Veterinary license in good standing, or eligibility for licensure in Oregon. Two years of clinical experience required, or successful completion of an accredited internship. Emergency experience strongly preferred, though mentorship is available for the right candidate.

Location

Tualatin offers convenient access to the greater Portland area, the Oregon Coast, and abundant outdoor recreation, making it an excellent place to build both a career and a life.
