Utilities One is seeking an experienced and licensed Master Electrician to oversee electrical installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and compliance across utility, telecommunications, wireless, EV charging, and infrastructure projects. The Master Electrician will provide technical leadership, ensure adherence to all applicable electrical codes and safety regulations, supervise field personnel, and support project execution from planning through completion. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and extensive knowledge of commercial, industrial, and utility electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the qualifying Master Electrician for company operations within designated jurisdictions.
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee electrical construction, maintenance, and repair activities.
  • Review project drawings, specifications, permits, and electrical designs for code compliance.
  • Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code, local electrical codes, OSHA requirements, and company safety standards.
  • Supervise and mentor Journeyman Electricians, Apprentices, and subcontractors.
  • Perform electrical inspections, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of electrical systems.
  • Support utility, wireless telecom, EV charging, fiber, and infrastructure deployment projects requiring electrical integration.
  • Coordinate with customers, utility companies, inspectors, engineers, and project managers.
  • Assist in developing project budgets, schedules, material requirements, and labor forecasts.
  • Maintain licensing requirements and support permitting activities as required by state and local authorities.
  • Investigate and resolve electrical issues in the field while minimizing operational disruptions.
  • Conduct safety audits, toolbox talks, and quality assurance reviews.
  • Prepare technical reports, inspection documentation, and project closeout packages.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Active Master Electrician License in the applicable state or states.
  • Minimum of 7+ years of electrical construction, maintenance, or utility infrastructure experience.
  • Thorough understanding of the National Electrical Code, NFPA 70E, OSHA regulations, and local electrical codes.
  • Experience managing electrical crews and subcontractors.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital project management tools.
  • Valid driverโ€™s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to travel as required.
