Job Summary:  

  

AM Premier Solutions is actively seeking innovative, creative, best-in-class experts to join our growing team. We are seeking an experienced Lead Electrical Engineer to join our team in the EV industry. This role involves overseeing the technical development, design, and implementation of EV charging infrastructure projects, procurement of electrical equipment, managing site construction, and contributing to the software development of an EV charger communication software. The ideal candidate will work closely with utility companies, ensuring power system reliability and reviewing electrical deliverables for code compliance and high-quality standards. A background in project management, EV systems, and power distribution is essential.

 

Responsibilities:  

  • Review electrical deliverables for compliance with national and local codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
  • Lead the technical development and design of EV charging installations, ensuring high-quality execution from concept to completion.
  • Coordinate with utility companies to ensure power system reliability and manage the supply of power to EV charging stations.
  • Oversee project management activities, including scopes, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for EV charging infrastructure projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and clients, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Maintain a high standard of quality and reliability in all designs to ensure long-term operational success.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to project teams.
  • Assist with the software development of EV charger communication software.
  • Support business development initiatives by participating in client meetings, technical presentations, and project proposals.

Key Skills:  

  • Expertise in EV systems and charging infrastructure design.
  • Proficiency in software development for EV Charger Communication, particularly with OCPP.
  • Strong knowledge of power distribution systems and the ability to coordinate with utility companies.
  • Experience in procurement of electrical equipment, including generators, and ensuring cost-effective and compliant acquisitions.
  • In-depth understanding of electrical codes and standards (NEC, NFPA, IEEE) and the ability to ensure compliance.
  • Effective project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource planning.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance in electrical design and implementation.

Qualifications:  

  

A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, along with a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license and 10+ years of experience in designing and implementing EV charging systems and infrastructure. Business development experience is a plus, it is not required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:  

Oversee the performance and productivity of project teams and site construction to ensure successful delivery of EV charging infrastructure projects.
