Job description

Synertex is seeking a Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst Subject Matter Expert to support a national cybersecurity organization client in Arlington, VA. This organization focuses on reducing risk to national infrastructure and growing resilience to cyber and physical infrastructure for the United States.As an Eastern Europe Subject Matter Expert Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst on our team, you'll oversee the collection, documentation, assessment, and analysis of cyber threat information using tools and technologies like Google Threat Intelligence and MITRE ATT&CK Framework to enrich intelligence. You'll conduct strategic assessments on systems and networks and provide tactical analysis and influential recommendations for defensive operations. You'll be the key to discovering and correlating timely threat intel and deciphering what represents a real risk, and you'll play a lead role in incident analysis, adversarial research, and finished intelligence products to inform policy makers, cyber operators, and mission area leadership.   Benefits include competitive PTO, 11 Paid Government Holidays, a 401k with 6% match, and a comprehensive list of health care options. Clearance: TS/SCI  RESPONSIBILITIES:Monitor, collect, and analyze cyber threat intelligence focused on Eastern Europe to identify emerging threats, adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).Conduct strategic and tactical cyber threat assessments to evaluate risks to systems, networks, and mission operations.Leverage intelligence platforms such as Google Threat Intelligence and the MITRE ATT&CK Framework to enrich and correlate threat data.Research, identify, and track nation-state and advanced persistent threat (APT) actors targeting government and enterprise environments.Correlate multiple intelligence sources to distinguish credible threats from routine cyber activity and assess operational impact.Produce finished intelligence reports, threat assessments, and executive-level briefings for leadership, policymakers, and cyber operators.Perform adversary research to identify evolving capabilities, infrastructure, malware, and attack methodologies.Analyze cyber incidents to determine attacker intent, attribution, scope, and recommended defensive actions.Develop actionable intelligence recommendations to enhance cyber defense operations and improve organizational security posture.Collaborate with intelligence analysts, incident responders, and cybersecurity teams to support threat detection, investigation, and mitigation efforts.Maintain awareness of geopolitical developments in Eastern Europe and assess their potential impact on the cyber threat landscape.Support intelligence-driven defensive operations by providing timely threat indicators, contextual analysis, and prioritized recommendations.Document intelligence findings, maintain analytic records, and ensure products meet established intelligence standards and reporting requirements.Brief senior leadership and mission stakeholders on cyber threats, emerging trends, and operational risks.Apply intelligence methodologies and analytic tradecraft to support mission planning, cyber operations, and strategic decision-making. REQUIREMENTS:Eastern Europe-focused geopolitical and cyber threat intelligence experience Experience with cyber threat intelligence analysis principles in a government or commercial environment Knowledge of current and emerging Eastern Europe-related cyber adversaries and their techniques, tactics, and procedures (TTP) Ability to convert raw cyber data into actionable intelligence-in written narrative and tactical data formats-following intelligence analysis tradecraft standards Experience with creating and presenting succinct briefings, presentations, and reports to technical and executive leadership that convey analysis, threat trends, impacts to targets, defensive strategies, and prioritization Knowledge of information security and information technology threats, attacks, and vulnerabilities in a cybersecurity context Ability to work independently with minimal supervision TS/SCI clearance HS Diploma or GED and 18+ years of experience with cybersecurity or cyber threat intelligence, Bachelor's degree and 14+ years of experience with cybersecurity or cyber threat intelligence, or Master's degree and 12+ years of experience with cybersecurity or cyber threat intelligence Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, and analytical skills.
