Job description

Join us as an Asset Services Manager III in Asset Servicing! Lead our Corporate Action team to ensure precise and timely corporate action event processing. Engage with a diverse client base, including Prime clients and J.P. Morgan Securities equity trading desks, in a dynamic, fast-paced setting. As an Asset Services Manager III in the Corporate Action team, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the retrieval, interpretation, and processing of corporate action events. You will work closely with us to ensure that our clients' needs are met and that instructions are executed accurately. Your work matters to the firm and the wider community as you help us maintain our reputation for excellence in asset servicing. Job responsibilities

  • Lead the Corporate Action team in accurate and timely retrieval, interpretation, and processing of corporate action events
  • Oversee communication with Middle Office, Client Service, traders, and clients to relay market decisions
  • Collaborate with custodian banks to ensure instructions are received and executed
  • Manage the posting and reconciliation of cash and stock entitlements
  • Guide the Announcement Capture team in scrubbing events and notifying clients
  • Oversee the collection and submission of client elections to the market and manage payments
  • Lead the transition to a new Asset Servicing Engine for global processing

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 5 years of experience in processing voluntary corporate action events
  • Knowledge of DTC (Hub, Smart track, and CNS) and Euroclear
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or equivalent work experience
  • Strong understanding of the transaction/trade lifecycle
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing business and technology needs.
  • Strong risk and control awareness with the ability to implement mitigating controls.
  • Ability to prioritize workloads and meet critical deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and issue resolution skills.
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced environment and open to change.
  • Series 99/Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) REQUIRED

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience in leading transitions to new processing systems or engines.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other applications; Alteryx is a plus.
  • Asset servicing knowledge and experience within a securities operation environment preferred.
