Job description

Vendor Management Specialist (Vendor Partnerships)

Location: Wentzville, MO
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Work Setting: Onsite
Compensation: $60,000+ based on experience

Help Shape the Products Our Neighbors Trust.

At etrailer, the products we offer start with strong partnerships. As a Vendor Management Specialist, you'll work directly with manufacturers to identify exciting new products, strengthen strategic relationships, and help grow some of the industry's leading brands. Your work will influence what products we bring to market and help ensure we're delivering the right products, at the right price, and at the right time for our neighbors.

As the voice of the vendor within etrailer and a trusted representative of etrailer to our vendor partners, you'll help shape product launches, strengthen long-term partnerships, and influence strategic business decisions. As etrailer continues to grow, you'll have opportunities to expand your influence, take ownership of key initiatives, and help shape the future of our vendor partnerships. Success in this role requires strong relationship-building, organization, professionalism, adaptability, and the ability to confidently manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

What You Will Do
  • Build and strengthen long-term relationships with vendor partners through consistent communication, meaningful collaboration, and regular business reviews.

  • Identify new product opportunities, including New to the World and exclusive products, while helping vendors successfully launch and grow their brands with etrailer.

  • Review vendor programs, including pricing, margins, freight, inventory levels, and competitiveness, while negotiating opportunities that create long-term value for both etrailer and our vendor partners.

  • Partner with teams across etrailer to coordinate vendor initiatives, solve business challenges, and ensure successful execution of key programs.

  • Represent etrailer through vendor meetings, training opportunities, industry trade shows, and vendor visits while serving as a trusted advocate for both our business and our partners.

  • Manage multiple vendor accounts, projects, and priorities while maintaining timely follow-up, accurate documentation, and exceptional attention to detail.

  • Build meaningful partnerships while enjoying the journey. We believe the best relationships, with both vendors and teammates, are built by people who genuinely enjoy what they do.

What Makes Someone Successful in This Role
  • You enjoy building lasting professional relationships and earning the trust of business partners.

  • You're highly organized and thrive managing multiple accounts, projects, and competing priorities.

  • You communicate professionally and confidently, whether you're leading a meeting, negotiating with a vendor, or collaborating with teammates.

  • You're comfortable navigating negotiations that create value for both vendor partners and etrailer.

  • You're adaptable, solutions-oriented, and able to shift priorities while maintaining a high level of execution.

  • You take ownership of your work, follow through on commitments, and consistently pay attention to the details.

  • Experience in vendor management, account management, purchasing, sales, business development, or the trailer, towing, RV, automotive, aftermarket, manufacturing, or supplier industries is helpful, but we value potential and the right mindset just as much.

Who This Role Is For

This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys building meaningful business relationships while balancing strategy, organization, and execution. You'll have the opportunity to influence product launches, strengthen partnerships with industry-leading manufacturers, and help shape the products our neighbors rely on every day.

If you're energized by connecting with people, uncovering new opportunities, solving business challenges, and making a measurable impact through strong partnerships, you'll find plenty of opportunities to grow here.

Benefits

etrailer offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, paid holidays, and more.

If you're looking for more than just another vendor management role and want the opportunity to build lasting partnerships, influence meaningful business decisions, help bring great products to our neighbors, and grow your career along the way, we'd love to hear from you.
