Job Description Codeworks, an LRS company, is seeking a Data Architect for a hybrid contract opportunity. This role offers the chance to apply your data architecture and modernization expertise in support of meaningful work for one of our client partners. Our client is looking for an experienced Data Architect to support the design and delivery of large-scale data modernization initiatives, with a primary focus on migrating ETL processes from legacy systems to modern data platforms.

This role emphasizes technical expertise, collaborative problem-solving, and thoughtful leadership to help teams design scalable, efficient, and adaptable data architectures that support evolving organizational needs. Design and support the architecture and implementation of ETL migrations from legacy systems to modern data platforms, such as cloud-based or next-generation data ecosystems. Establish and apply architectural standards, frameworks, and best practices for data engineering and integration.

Design scalable, high-performance data pipelines and workflows to support enterprise-level data processing. Provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing to data engineers, ETL developers, and cross-functional team members. Evaluate, recommend, and help implement modern ETL and data integration technologies.

Develop and support automation strategies to streamline data workflows, deployment processes, and monitoring. Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into effective data architecture solutions. Help ensure data quality, governance, security, and compliance across data platforms.

Contribute to continuous improvement in data architecture approaches, including the adoption of modern tools, patterns, and methodologies. Required Qualifications Professional experience in data architecture, data engineering, or related roles. Strong working knowledge of database systems (relational and/or NoSQL) and data modeling principles.

Demonstrated experience designing, developing, or migrating ETL processes from legacy systems. Hands-on experience with modern ETL or data integration tools and frameworks, including cloud-native or distributed data processing solutions. Experience supporting large-scale data processing and performance optimization.

Experience developing or applying data architecture frameworks and standards. Working knowledge of automation, orchestration, and CI/CD practices in data environments. Ability to evaluate technical trade-offs and contribute to informed decision-making in complex environments.

The base range for this contract position is $40.00 - $60.00 per hour, depending on experience. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all U.S. locations
