Description

Applicants should demonstrate the potential to develop an impactful research program leading to high-quality scholarly publications, along with a strong commitment to excellence in teaching. In the first three years, service requirements are minimal, but in the long term, candidates are expected to actively engage in services to the Law & Ethics Area and the Gabelli School of Business.

Law & Ethics Area faculty teach a variety of courses in the undergraduate, MBA, and Ph.D. programs. Successful applicants will have a strong commitment to further the Area's tradition of excellence in teaching and publishing high-quality scholarship in leading journals. The Gabelli School of Business has approximately 3,000 graduate and undergraduate students enrolled across two campuses in a variety of programs, with a strong focus on responsible business and sustainability. One campus is at Lincoln Center in Manhattan, and the other is in the Bronx. Faculty can be assigned to either campus or both.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate must possess a Ph.D. in Philosophy or Management (with a specialization in Business Ethics), a Ph.D. in Business Ethics, or a J.D., with a significant record in business ethics research (an expected completion date no later than July 1, 2027, for the Ph.D. is acceptable).
