The Behavior Analyst Certification Board, Inc. (BACB) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation established in 1998 to provide professional credentialing services for practitioners of behavior analysis services. We are located in Littleton, CO with beautiful views of the adjacent Rocky mountains. Compensation: The BACB uses compensation data for the metro Denver labor market to ensure our positions provide a competitive wage based on the education and experience requirements.


The hourly rate for this position is $26.00

Position Summary: The Ethics Case Coordinator (ECC) is responsible for the administrative processing of all case submissions to the BACB's Ethics Department. The ECC reviews and documents the details of the case, conducts searches for information pertaining to the case, prepares documents for case review, drafts memoranda and disciplinary determinations, and manages case follow-up. This position works closely with the Ethics Review Specialist who is responsible for determining code standard violations and prescribing disciplinary actions related to certification and eligibility.


This position is fast-paced and varied in case content, with some routine tasks, and some assignments that are common to case processing though nuanced. The ideal candidate has great attention to detail, the ability to think critically, exceptional reading comprehension, and can communicate complex facts verbally and in writing. The case submissions may expose this position to graphic material so the ideal candidate must be able to evaluate information with an unbiased perspective.

Requirements

  • Process initial case submissions following internal intake process.
  • Conduct internal and external searches for case information in accordance with the BACB guidelines and policies.
  • Correspond directly with applicants and certificate holders regarding case queries, deadlines and determinations.
  • Write case summaries, and create supporting documentation (e.g., visual timelines).
  • Draft memoranda and disciplinary determinations.
  • Ongoing monitoring of current cases and continuous oversight of case roster.
  • Work with the Ethics Review Specialist to track and maintain case processing information.
  • Working collaboratively with team members towards common goals and meeting deadlines.
  • Uphold the mission of the Ethics Department to protect consumers by clearly communicating ethics requirements, disseminating resources, and providing mechanisms to address potential ethics violations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience and Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience with a minimum of 2+ years in a business support role required. NCIT certification will be required within first year of employment. A minimum typing speed of 60 wpm with 90% accuracy. Strong experience working with Microsoft Office Word and Excel.


Employment Authorization: Candidates must have the ability to work unrestricted in the U.S. The BACB does not offer visa sponsorship of any kind. Successful completion of a background check is required after the offer of employment. The BACB uses the E-Verify system during the hiring process to confirm employment eligibility to work in the United States.

Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and video conferencing.


Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to listen and speak. This is largely a sedentary role; however, the ability to lift and carry a laptop, lift files, open filing cabinets, frequently type, bend and reach as necessary is essential to the position.


Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This is a regular full-time IN OFFICE position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, typically 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening, holidays, and weekend work may be required based on operations.


Campus Wellness: The BACB is a tobacco and vape free campus. Consumption of tobacco products or vaping of any kind is prohibited.


Travel: Minimal travel is expected for this position.
