Position Overview:ย We are seeking a skilled Datacenter Engineer with expertise in VMware technologies to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our datacenter infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and deploy VMware virtualization solutions to support our datacenter operations.
  • Manage and maintain VMware vSphere environments, including ESXi hosts, vCenter Server, and virtual machines.
  • Implement disaster recovery and business continuity strategies using VMware technologies.
  • Monitor performance and capacity of virtualized infrastructure, optimizing resources as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new systems and applications into the VMware environment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to VMware infrastructure and virtual machines.
  • Maintain documentation and standard operating procedures for VMware configurations and processes.
  • Ensure compliance with security policies and procedures in VMware environments.
  • Design, configure, and troubleshoot VMware networking components such as virtual switches, distributed switches, and network adapters.
  • Implement and manage VMware NSX for network virtualization and software-defined networking (SDN).
  • Work closely with Datacenter Engineers and Systems Administrators to integrate network solutions into VMware environments.
  • Monitor network performance and security within VMware infrastructure, optimizing as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement network solutions for new applications and services.
  • Provide support and troubleshooting for network-related issues in VMware environments.
  • Document network configurations, procedures, and best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience as a Datacenter Engineer or similar role, with specific expertise in VMware technologies.
  • In-depth knowledge of VMware vSphere, including ESXi, vCenter Server, and vSphere Networking.
  • Experience with virtualization management tools and techniques.
  • Strong understanding of storage and network technologies in virtualized environments.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • VMware certifications (e.g., VCP) preferred but not required.
