Employment Type: Full-time
Compensation: Competitive, negotiable depending on experience
Location: On site, Kaysville, UT (some travel required)
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator / Preconstruction professional to join our growing Electrical team in Kaysville, UT. This role is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates, supporting preconstruction efforts, and collaborating with project teams to help deliver successful industrial electrical projects. While this role is based in Carlsbad, occasional travel to project sites and client meetings is required.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for industrial electrical projects.
  • Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents.
  • Perform quantity takeoffs and develop labor, material, and equipment estimates.
  • Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing.
  • Identify project risks, opportunities, and value engineering options.
  • Collaborate with project managers, operations, and clients throughout the preconstruction process.
  • Assist with proposal preparation and bid submissions.
  • Maintain estimating databases and historical cost information.

Requirements
  • 4-5 years of experience with industrial electrical construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems, construction methods, and estimating principles.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
  • Ability and willingness to travel as needed to support project and client needs.
