Job description

College Graduate Opportunity – Legal Assistant

Launch Your Professional Career at a Leading Law Firm

Abrams Fensterman, LLP is a full-service law firm committed to providing clients with high-quality legal counsel, innovative solutions, and personalized service. Established in 2000, the firm has grown to include more than 120 attorneys across multiple practice areas.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, organized, and intellectually curious recent college graduate to join our Trusts & Estates practice as a Legal Assistant. This position is an excellent opportunity for someone considering law school or a career in the legal profession who wants to gain meaningful, hands-on experience in a sophisticated legal practice.

You will work closely with experienced attorneys and legal professionals, developing practical skills while assisting clients with estate planning, trust administration, and estate settlement matters. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, exceptional attention to detail, and a genuine desire to learn.

Prior legal experience is not required. We will train the right candidate.

What You'll Do

  • Work directly with attorneys on estate planning and estate administration matters.
  • Prepare correspondence, legal documents, and client communications.
  • Organize and maintain electronic and physical client files.
  • Coordinate meetings, client appointments, and attorney calendars.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, financial advisors, accountants, trust officers, and other professionals.
  • Assist with the preparation, execution, and organization of wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and related documents.
  • Track deadlines and ensure matters progress efficiently.
  • Provide administrative and project support to attorneys and the Trusts & Estates team.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree (recent graduates are encouraged to apply).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Professional demeanor and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Positive attitude, intellectual curiosity, and willingness to take initiative.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; ability to learn new technology quickly.
  • Demonstrated reliability, discretion, and sound judgment.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary range: $50,000 to $60,000, commensurate with education and experience
  • Comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and additional benefits

Why Join Us?

  • This is more than an administrative position—it's an opportunity to build a strong foundation for a successful professional career. You'll receive mentoring from experienced attorneys, develop exceptional writing, communication, and organizational skills, and gain firsthand exposure to sophisticated legal work involving high-net-worth individuals and families.
  • Whether you are considering law school, graduate school, or seeking a long-term career in the legal industry, this role offers meaningful responsibility, mentorship, and the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of clients and their families.
  • We value curiosity, professionalism, integrity, kindness, and a strong work ethic. If you enjoy learning, thrive in a collaborative environment, and take pride in delivering outstanding service, we encourage you to apply.
