Job description

We are seeking an experienced Associate Attorney with a strong background in business transactions, tax planning, and IRS dispute resolution to support our expanding client base of families and business owners. The ideal candidate will also have experience assisting with probate and trust administration

Responsibilities:

  • Advise clients on business transactions, including entity formation, contract drafting/review, mergers, acquisitions, and related corporate matters.

  • Represent clients in IRS dispute resolution, including audits, appeals, collections, and related controversies.

  • Support clients with probate and trust administration, including court filings, required notices, and guiding personal representatives and trustees through the process.

  • Assist with guardianship, conservatorship, and contested probate litigation when needed.

  • Prepare estate planning documents—such as revocable and irrevocable trusts, wills, and powers of attorney—when assisting the estate planning team.

  • Stay current on Arizona and federal tax, business, probate, and estate planning laws.

  • Collaborate with team members to deliver high-quality, detail-oriented, and compassionate legal service.

Compensation:

  • Production-based pay structure with performance bonus.

  • Salary range is $125,000 - $175,000, plus bonus based on production, commensurate with experience and performance.

Requirements:

  • 5 years of experience in business transactions, tax planning, or IRS dispute resolution (experience in probate and estate planning is a plus).

  • Strong knowledge of federal tax law and Arizona business law; familiarity with Arizona probate code and estate planning best practices preferred.

  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and client counseling skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly.

  • Active member in good standing with the Arizona State Bar.
