Job Description Commercial Real Estate Legal Assistant Downtown Toronto Our client, a mid size law firm located steps from Union Station is looking for a commercial real estate legal assistant to join its team. This position is strongly suited for an individual who pays extreme attention to detail, has strong technical skills, excellent communication and client service skills. The successful candidate will work closely with two partners in its busy Real Estate practice group and should be able to handle the administrative side of their practices.

The ideal candidate will have experience with Teraview and the ability to read French would be considered an asset. Responsibilities: Assist with the preparation and completion of all necessary documentation for commercial real estate purchase, sale and mortgage transactions from beginning to end Prepare report books, statements of account and bank reports on title Knowledgeable in the administrative details of a large financing deal Handle blacklines, hand written edits and be an expert in comparing documents Assemble officer certification Handle off title enquiry letters and off-title enquiry charts Meticulously review all materials prepared for accuracy Track professional development hours Produce the highest quality of work Handle daily administrative details Manage duties related to accounting Accountable for all work assigned Arrange meetings Calendar management Takes initiative Confidential Requirements: Minimum of 3 years' previous real estate legal assistant experience Successful completion of a related post-secondary Legal Assistant or Law Clerk program Ability to read French would be considered an asset Flexible to work over time as required Handle time pressure situations and stress of multiple demands Skills: Microsoft Office 365 suite of applications Knowledge of Closing Folders and Docusign or a willingness to learn Familiar with ShareFile Experience with Teraview Strong verbal and written communication Ability to problem solve Good judgement and decision making Strong interpersonal skills Organized, resourceful and detail oriented Apply today.
