Job description

Position Summary

The Retail Associate is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while supporting the daily retail, inventory, shipping, and light production operations of Cheryl’s Herbs. This role assists customers with herbal wellness products, prepares and labels products, fulfills shipments, and helps maintain an organized and welcoming store environment.

The ideal candidate is friendly, dependable, organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn about herbal wellness and natural products.


Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service
  • Greet and assist customers in a welcoming and professional manner

  • Answer questions about herbs, teas, supplements, essential oils, and wellness products

  • Provide educational support within company guidelines

  • Assist customers with product selection and checkout

  • Resolve customer concerns professionally and efficiently


Retail Operations
  • Operate point-of-sale (POS) system accurately

  • Process cash, credit card, and digital transactions

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of sales floor

  • Restock shelves and monitor inventory levels

  • Assist with merchandising and product displays

  • Label and organize products as needed

  • Follow opening and closing procedures


Product Preparation & Labeling
  • Pour and package herbs, teas, tinctures, oils, and other wellness products

  • Label herbal and essential oil products accurately

  • Prepare products according to company procedures and quality standards

  • Monitor product quality and expiration dates

  • Maintain clean and sanitary workspaces during production tasks


Shipping & Fulfillment
  • Prepare customer and wholesale orders for shipment

  • Pack products carefully to prevent damage during transit

  • Print shipping labels and packing slips

  • Coordinate outgoing shipments with carriers

  • Verify order accuracy before shipment

  • Assist with local pickups and delivery coordination

  • Maintain shipping supplies and packing materials inventory


Inventory & Stock Support
  • Receive and unpack shipments

  • Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation

  • Notify management of low stock or inventory discrepancies

  • Organize backstock and storage areas


Team Support
  • Collaborate with coworkers and management
