Working in a team-oriented environment, they review submitted materials thoroughly and engage in detailed discussions to reach consensus on appropriate ratings, balancing objectivity and accuracy.

What does the ESRB do?

The ESRB, or Entertainment Software Rating Board, is an organization that assigns age and content ratings to video games and other entertainment software in North America. Its main goal is to help consumers, especially parents, make informed choices about which games are appropriate for different age groups. The ESRB evaluates games based on content like violence, language, and sexual themes, and then gives them ratings such as E for Everyone, T for Teen, or M for Mature. These ratings appear on game packaging and digital storefronts to guide purchasing decisions.
