Job description

Grand Canyon University! One of Arizona's leading institutions of higher learning. Located in the Valley of Sun in the heart of Phoenix, Arizona, GCU is an institutionally accredited, private, nondenominational Christian University.

Lead ESports staff that maintain and manage the ESports Arena. Provides and ensures facility standards are set in place and withheld. Provide support to club sports leadership and participants for budgeting and fundraising for the team.

What will you do:

  • Responsible for meeting revenue goals set for ESports facility; responsible for developing strategies to attract on campus and incoming students.
  • Plan, schedule and setup campus ESports events for both on campus communities and external invitational events.
  • Maintain a facility calendar and broadcast calendar to targeted demographic groups and all campus staff to ensure awareness of facility.
  • Collaborate and develop strategies with other departments to maintain communication and information to the outside community regarding ESports on campus.
  • Responsible for supervising multiple coaches and scholarship varsity teams within the ESports program.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What will you need:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline from a regionally accredited institution, preferably in the field of Business with emphasis on marketing or entrepreneurship.
  • Solid understanding of customer passion about gaming
  • Able to pass training in CPR and AED within 90 days of employment
  • Demonstrated knowledge in esports communication, leagues and event structures.
  • Must pass pre-employment background investigation.
