Job description

Iona University seeks applications for the position of Assistant Club Esports Coach. Reporting to the Director of Club Sports. The Assistant Club Esports Coach is responsible for assisting all aspects of the club program as well as being committed to the academic mission of the University. The Assistant Club Esports Coach teaches the sport of Esports to student-athletes, and provides for coaching, recruitment and retention of Esports players.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Be knowledgeable of, and abide by, all University and campus policies, league policies, campus recreational policies and conference/league requirements.
  • Plan, organize and assistant with the operations for the club sport program including coaching, fundraising, budgeting and travel arrangements.
  • Travel with and supervise team at home and away games to ensure compliance with all relevant policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • It is important for the Assistant Club Esports Coach to have a background in the sport with a minimum bachelorโ€™s degree.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Collegiate Esports rules and regulations.
  • They must grasp the current Esports strategies and techniques.
  • Posses a valid driverโ€™s license
