Job description

The Coordinator supports, manages, and coordinates academic and administrative operations for the
department of Language, Literature and Philosophy (LLP) and the ESL Program and manages the
budgets for LLP and ESL. They provide support for faculty, staff and chair and students, manage the
department office, support the logistics of the teaching assistants' exchange and oversees the Kitchen
Lab in ISB. In addition, this position will be responsible for the marketing and outreach of the College
of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHSS), serving as the college liaison and point of contact for
Global Marketing and Communications (GMC) and coordinating the college blog and assisting with the
newsletter.
• Ability to interact and communicate effectively with students, faculty, staff, and administrators
from different social and cultural backgrounds.
• Possesses strong written and oral communication skills with timely and professional
responsiveness to emails and requests.
• Detail oriented, motivated self-starter, problem solver who can perform effectively in a fast-
paced office environment.
• Excellent organizational skills and multi-tasker with the ability to handle multiple priorities and
consistently meet deadlines.
• Ability to create systems to improve efficiency of operational procedures a plus.
• Experience overseeing budgets and creating tracking spreadsheets.
• Strong experience with managing social media accounts, creating flyers and pamphlets, and
other promotional materials to attract different audiences.
• Excellent computer skills, and above average knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Power
Point, Qualtrics, and any software that the administration deems important or requires.
• Proven ability to quickly learn, navigate and adapt to new software systems and platforms.
