Position:   ABE Facilitator Sub
Location: Harmony
Schedule: 12 Months subbing
Pay Rate: $27.75
Summary
Assists with the administration of the English as a Second Language (ESL) and Adult Basic Education (ABE) classes which include students coming to earn their high school equivalency diploma (GED).  Assessment will be one phase of this job.  It will also include other duties as assigned to maintain efficiency in the programs.   
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:









 
  1. Greet adult students and visitors to the building, manage entrance door
  2. Determine appropriate pre and post-assessments for adult students; administer, score and record results.
  3. Assign contact hours and classes to adult students based on assessment results
  4. Assist ABE Coordinator with program communication and providing daily structure for a successful program
  5. Order supplies for the program
  6. Support teachers by generating reports as needed
 Required Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's Degree in related field
  2. Experience working with diverse populations. Demonstrate ability to be culturally and linguistically responsive with ability to work across difference
  3. Excellent interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication
  4. Highly detail-oriented and organized, able to multi-task and be flexible
  5. Proficient with Microsoft Office and familiarity and comfort with spreadsheets
  6. Team player not afraid to do the small things as well as the big things
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Experience in Adult Basic Education
  2. Bi-Lingual
  3. Qualified to administer Pearson tests, or willing to become qualified
  4. Experience with software such as MABE
