Compensation Range: $ 84,935 - 103,439 (Starting salary is expected to fall between $84,935 and $94,182, depending on qualifications and experience.)

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:Provides targeted coordination, guidance, and support in bilingual and ESL services for outplaced students to ensure equitable access to language development and academic success.  

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:None

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. In addition to the requirements listed below, regular attendance is an essential function of this position.

  1. Ensures that all actions are in concert with the Board policies as well as the mission statement, beliefs, objectives and parameters found in the Board's strategic plan.
  2. Participates in job training and professional growth opportunities in order to enhance ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
  3. Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment.
  4. Collaborate with receiving programs, district staff, and families to monitor student progress, support compliance with bilingual/ESL requirements, and ensure services align with district expectations.
  5. Serves as a liaison to strengthen communication, continuity of services, and culturally responsive support for English learners placed outside the district.
  6. Supports continuous improvement in curriculum, instruction, assessment, and professional learning.
  7. Promotes culturally responsive and equitable instructional practices.
  8. Manages instructional tools, resources, and aligned curriculum implementation.
  9. Facilitates staff collaboration, problem-solving, feedback, and professional development.
  10. Provides guidance on assessment practices and effective data use.
  11. Supports and monitors screening, identification, and ACCESS testing processes for English learners to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  12. Ensures bilingual and English as a second language (ESL) services meet program requirements and compliance standards.
  13. Conducts classroom observations, models effective instructional strategies, and builds staff capacity through job-embedded learning.
  14. Participates in curriculum review, instructional material selection, and program improvement with leadership.
  15. Communicates key updates and maintains ongoing communication with staff, leadership, and families.
  16. Engages families through outreach, meetings, and informational sessions. 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

Professional Educator License (PEL) with ESL endorsement required 

Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred 

Experience in bilingual (TBE/TPI) programs preferred 

Special Education experience preferred

WORKING CONDITIONS:   

Moderate in-district travel as well as intermittent in-state and out-of-state travel.  Intermittent prolonged and irregular hours of work.
